Caribbean Girl Struggles

I can tell you that it’s absolutely great living in the Caribbean. The typical view outside your window is like a postcard, exotic fruits hang low from trees if you can just reach them and everyday is summer.

Caribbean people are beautiful people both inside and out. Caribbean girls are born exotic. Caribbean weather is great if you like wearing shorts and swimsuits year round.

Problem is exotic Caribbean girls and the awesome Caribbean weather...together.

You can beat your face to perfection but by the time you get 5 minutes away from home, you have to start doing damage control.

(If you’re one of those lucky girls unaffected by this, just walk away before the rest of us hurt you.)
The sun melts you and the heat makes you sweat. Add that to the humidity and you’re a mess.
If you’re an oily girl, you have even more struggles.

For me, I have to plan my strategy in advance: the primer, the foundation, powder, the setting spray, THE LOOK. Then it’s guesswork after that.

I found a foundation which I tested on a hot, dry day for about 10 hours. It made it to the end but I felt like my face was hot soup in a covered bowl  -about to blow.

Now, I still don’t know all the answers. I’m just saying...

It’s all well and good to buy amazing products that do amazing things but Caribbean girls have their struggle to just keep everything together while maintaining their renowned exotic reputation. ;)
