Ebony Bronzer Q120 |
Anyway seriously, darker skinned chocolate girls can have a really hard time finding appropriate shades to define and shade their features; I had a hard time for a while too.
But now, I just say that similar products can be used interchangeably. Just like you can use a darker foundation to contour and a lighter one to mimic concealer, you can use lip products and cream blush interchangeable and eye shadow for a myriad of other things.
One of the other uses of eye shadow is contour powder. I have been using Jordana's Your Majesty eye shadow for contour and it has been working fine. It's a deep neutral brown.
I'm finding though that it can be harsh sometimes when I want it to be softer like in the day time or when I want a more gentle shading.
So I discovered that darker women recommended CoverGirl Queen Bronzer in Ebony Bronze Q120. I watched some mixed reviews- some complaining that it's too red for their tone or too sparkly etc.
I figured I'll find out for myself so I got it and I can see this becoming my go-to.
The product is a matte bronzer with a slight red tone to it which I'm ok with since it warms up the face a little.

Your Majesty |
It has a very tiny amount of gold specks which is neither here nor there in my opinion since the product is quite matte.
All in all, I love this just for introducing me to some other level.
I will continue to use Your Majesty but I think only for a more defined look or at night time events.
Sigh, I wish I had this years ago.
