Can I share this one tip that will change your eye makeup forever? Blending.
Choosing creative colours and their placement is 25% of the job; blending them seamlessly to create the anticipated look is the other 75%.
For a long time, I would try duplicating pictures or creating looks that would leave me frustrated at the end. While the colours were there and in the right places it just didn't seem right.
Until I spent more time blending the colours together.
Another thing is that you almost always want to use a clean and separate blending brush. This is so that the colour being blended out is not affected by the last colour on your brush.
Although, it is often more convenient, you can't use the same brush to blend which you use to place colour; these are entirely different brushes. Eye shadow brushes have flat stiff bristles- good for patting colour on, not good for blending.
The best eye shadow looks are the ones where you cannot tell where one colour starts and the other ends.
This is best achieved with expert blending.

Blending is not only for multi-coloured looks; even single colour looks involve blending to soften the edges.
Something to note is that powder blends better on powder. so after applying your eye shadow primer press some translucent powder on your eyelids. That will help prevent creasing and blend your eye shadow smoother.
Most important of all is that blending takes time and practise. To get everything where and how you want it, take a seat and settle in.
