Do you do the best (often the most) and your makeup still looks blah in your eyes?

I think I know a way to fix that.

A boring made up face is basically lackluster and what's the opposite of lackluster? A glow.

A plain Jane, one dimensional, same tones all over the face look is boring and sometimes looks like a death pall.

To combat that, add some more dimension to your canvas by brushing on some sunshine..

Two ways I know to add glow are: bronzer and highlighter.

Bronzer is a beautiful thing, people.

Especially for brown girls. Trust me. This is a definite Holy Grail product for me.

There are many types of bronzers but basically they can be categorized by tones.

For brown girls, yellow, orange and red tones. That means the proper application of the product will add gold, bronze and copper lights to your face.

Bronzer is best applied to the areas that stand our best when light hits your face. That also means that if you don't want something to stand out, don't apply bronzer to that area, eg pimples.

Think centre of the forehead, bridge of the nose, cupid's bow, cheekbones, inner corners of the eyes, centre of the eyelids, temples, chin, brow arch...

Also, think strategy aka don't just dust it all over like translucent powder, you will look greasy.

Highlighter is another way to add magic to your face; whether with concealer, foundation or products designed specifically for highlighting.

Commonly, highlight and contour go hand-in-hand but not necessarily.

Lately, the idea of highlighting without contouring has been christened 'strobing' but that's nothing new.

 A well-blended dab of brightening concealer, foundation or highlight product under the eyes and other strategic areas can be all you need to add some va va voom to your makeup application.

With just these two methods, your finished product will never be the same.
