Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask (Get 35% Off!)

Hey lovelies,

I've been trying out a new facial care product which I received this month, the Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask.

I got the product to try in exchange for my honest review.

I love good skin care products so I couldn't wait to get this on my skin. They had me from organic and all natural. Plus the ingredients are pretty interesting.

Kaolin Clay - I know of the detoxifying powers of clay masks because of our sulphur mud here in Dominica. That stuff is really underestimated. Kaolin clay is known for its ability to reduce sebum production which means magic for oily skin like mine.

3% Plant Stem Cells and 2% Wakame Bioferment both work on the aging process to minimize cellular damage caused by aging. Wakame Bioferment comes from seaweed.

5% Vitamin C - Vitamin C serums are widely sold because of its skin rejuvenating properties to help skin cells repair themselves faster.

3% Matrixl - I had to research this one but I learnt that this peptide stimulates collagen production for skin skin elasticity and repair.

CoQ10 - I had heard of this but never tried. There are moisturizers, supplements and serums with this as the active ingredient. CoQ10 occurs naturally in the body and is also responsible for cell production which means plump, rejuvenated skin.

On top of the mask's detoxifying and rejuvenating properties, the product is also exfoliating because of the hibiscus and cranberry fibres inside.

I love a good scrub, I'll tell you that.

So I tried it every other day for seven days.

The  product has a very sweet fruity scent which I do not like. It smells artificial like Kool Aid.

I could also see and feel the fibre exfoliants in the paste. I don't like tiny, gentle exfoliators so  this product as a scrub can work for me.

On my first application,  there was a burning which lasted about a minute. When the mask dried, it tightened like masks tend to do.

I wiped it off after 10 minutes as instructed with a warm washcloth.

My skin was radiant, smooth and sort of taut but not in a dry way. There was a nice refreshing tingle afterwards. I didn't moisturize for a while just to get the full experience. My skin wasn't dry at all.

It still burned on application the next time but less than the first time.

I'm glad I got the opportunity try this new product which retails at $25 on the website and Amazon.

I believe I will try something else from Valentia. I'm leaning toward the Even Glow Serum with 20% Vitamin C.
